Would you believe that once upon a time, this girl right here wouldn't even TOUCH a vegetable? 😳 I'm someone who grew up on Hamburger Helper, Mac n Cheese, Honey Combs and Swiss Rolls – no joke. Just the idea of eating "rabbit food" 🥕 (salad, duh) legitimately freaked me out. . But I knew that my nutrition was holding me back from seeing results. I hated how I felt. I hated the belly pooch that I somehow had 🤰🏼I didn't like not fitting in my clothes anymore. I was sick of complaining and I was ready to finally see results. . And every single woman that I aspired to look like ate a really healthy, balanced diet full of veggies, fruits… ya know, "rabbit food" 💁🏼♀️ . Now don't get me wrong, making the switch with my diet was extremely tough at first. I didn't know how to cook vegetables to make them taste better. My pallet wasn't used to what these foods even tasted like. I CRAVED my Panera bagels, bags of Craisins, white chocolate covered pretzels, and my precious Wheat Thins 🤭 . But every week it got easier. Every meal became tastier. My taste buds started to tell me something different.. and I actually craved *gasp* broccoli and carrots 😮 and things that I NEVER imagined I would enjoy. . So if you are where I once was, here is some advice for you: Start by slowly "crowding out" processed foods with real foods. Replace that Nature Valley granola bar with an apple 🍎 Add a serving of steamed veggies to your dinner at night. Make a yummy protein smoothie with spinach, raspberries, and chia seeds. Baby steps. . Shifting to the way that I eat now did NOT happen over night. It took me years to adapt to a plant-based diet. . But slowly making changes is what has made this sustainable for me. Don't overwhelm yourself. Just start small and let your body naturally switch over to eating more nutrient-dense foods 😋 . If you want some advice on this just holler. I know exactly how scary it can be to introduce new foods, and sometimes you just need a little push 😘 #microsmatter
