Top 10 Predictions:
10. Steve Kuclo– Possibly a dark horse. Steve could sneak into the top 6 if he comes in streamlined and others falter.
9. Sergio Oliva Jr.– Sergio has the name and the muscle to finish in the top 10. If his conditioning improves from the summer shows, he could fall in the top 6.
8. Cedric McMillan– Cedric is one of the few bodybuilders who if dialed in, could beat anyone.
7. Brandon Curry– Brandon shocked the world in 2017 with a physique we haven’t witness from him before. I think he should have placed a few spots higher last year.
6. Shawn Rhoden– Shawn is a question mark. Shawn could be anywhere from 3rd-12th depending on what he brings. We haven’t seen much from Shawn this year so it will be interesting.
5. Dexter Jackson– My favorite bodybuilder of all-time is fighting father time and is still a top 5 bodybuilder in the world.
4. William Bonac- If William Bonac was 5’10, he would be the Mr. Olympia Champion. He could finish as high as two, or as low as 5 in my prediction.
3. Roelly Winklaar– Most muscle per inch in recent history. I would love to see Markus Ruhl at his peak vs. Roelly. Roelly cannot control his stomach, which has been his downfall.
2. “Big Ramy” Elssbiay Mamdouh– Big Ramy looked great last year. Will he bring a streamlined physique or super freak? Not sure if either can actually win.
1. Phil Heath- Phil Heath will win again unless he has some sudden injury of misses the boat. Phil, with a win, will tie Lee Haney and Ronnie Coleman for most Olympia wins.
Dark Horses:
Nathan De Asha has been placing well the last two Mr. Olympias, but recent photos from a guest posing looks as if he is off on his prep. If he dials it in, he could easily be top 8.
Alexis Rivera beat Sergio in Tampa. That is no easy task. Alexis could shock some people come September.
Lukas Osladil is one of my favorite bodybuilders in the world. His level of conditioning is the best of any bodybuilder right now. He lacks ideal size, but his conditioning needs to be recognized. If a few above him come in soft, Lucas may sneak into the top 10.
